Tomasz Hamerlak

Olympic bronze medalist for Poland, chosen as the best Disabled Sportsman of 2005, one of the most talented wheelchair Marathon athletes in the world. Awarded by the Polish Sports Association for the Disabled during the annual Sport Champions Ball.

His most important achievements include:

  • 2001: Wheelchair Marathon European Vice-champion (Oensingen, Switzerland)
  • 2002: 5000-meter World Championships bronze medalist (Lille, France)
  • 2003: 10000- meter European Champion and 5000- meter European Vice-champion (Assen, Holland)
  • 2004: Wheelchair Marathon Olympic bronze at the Paralympic Games in Athens
  • 2005: Wheelchair Marathon European Champion (Helsinki), 1500- and 5000- meter European Vice-champion (Helsinki)
